Story Of The Year – Anthem Of Our Dying Day (Live)

Story Of The Year live on Pepsi Smash.
Video Rating: 4 / 5

Neil Young (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician and film director. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 1995 and also as a member of Buffalo Springfield in 1997. Young's work is characterized by deeply personal lyrics, distinctive guitar work, and signature tenor singing voice. Although he accompanies himself on several different instruments—including piano and harmonica, his clawhammer acoustic guitar style and often idiosyncratic electric guitar soloing are the linchpins of a sometimes ragged, sometimes polished sound. Although Young has experimented widely with differing music styles, including swing, jazz, rockabilly, blues, and electronic music throughout a varied career, his best known work usually falls into either of two distinct styles: acoustic folk/country ("Heart of Gold", "Harvest Moon" and "Old Man") and electric-charged hard rock (like "Cinnamon Girl", "Rockin' in the Free World" and "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)"). In recent years, Young has adopted elements from newer styles like industrial, alternative country and grunge. Young's profound influence on the latter caused some to dub him "the Godfather of Grunge". ________________________________________ There's colors on the street Red, white and blue People shufflin' their feet People sleepin' in their shoes But there's a warnin' sign on the road ahead There's a lot of people sayin' we'd be better off dead Don't feel like Satan, but I am

the world of metal has evolved into metalcore, and these guys are a product of that. i have absolutely no prob with the direction music is still going. but give the metalcore guys their due. btw to the asses who just blog to be dicks, metalcore=exactly as it sounds.. any band that screams on half of their tracks (even if the frnt man sounds like a chipmunk), has taken the influence of the screaming in trad metal. just cuz it isnt slayer doesnt mean it sucks. i love metal bu im open minded.

I love the band. I love their stage dynamic. I love the crowd. I love their love for the art. I love how there's no camera-holding people during these times. I love music.

kick ass rock and roll. Great song and great artist.
Why is rock music so gay today??????

Alexth3axe @ 10:04 am

Neil young had guts. a Canadian writing and singing political songs and protest song about America.. haha

GoatBeach @ 10:38 am

Brother Alex has been heavy in my Visions lately (dead now three years). Best represented by neil's "Walking Man" in the MTV video…he would question ALL authority. These days would overwhelm him, but not without a fight.

Tschunasun @ 11:08 am

Text und Sound sind einzigartig gut… Glasklar wie bei CCR

MariposaGirl1981 @ 11:56 am

@Donizal ingles por favor

thegizable @ 12:10 pm

minors2001 @ 12:34 pm

TUNE!!!

ginnoveffect @ 12:50 pm

@MikeSkiera Sure, but what do you want me say, ______ ______ instead?

Constantly plastering youtube with inane comparisons saying how much this person or that person sucks and that THIS (insert whatever video of an band or artist you like) is REAL music, is one of the most aggravating Youtube phenomena in existence.

MikeSkiera @ 12:59 pm

@ginnoveffect hmmm thats an ironic statement

charliecheswick @ 1:33 pm

at least one person is not rockin' in the free world.

FMPNatal @ 2:10 pm

@erinviviane yeah. it's a great movie!

erinviviane @ 3:02 pm

@FMPNatal hey, was it in the film by Michael Moore? probably the very last scene… :)

FMPNatal @ 3:51 pm

There's an old saying in Tennessee – I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee…that says, fool me once, shame on…shame on you. Fool me…you can't get fooled again.
For once, we agreed

ginnoveffect @ 4:05 pm

@rawkus1167 Absolutely. i always have trouble narrowing down a favorite Young album, but Freedom is the one i usually end up saying, which is definitely saying something considering how late in his career it is. Lots of people think he topped out in the 60s and 70s but he's still spitting gold. This, Harvest Moon, Chrome Dreams II, all fantastic. He's still going strong.

amadeo177 @ 4:12 pm

@ginnoveffect dont say anything about justin bieber just dont talk abount justin bieber noone wants to hear about justin bieber

rawkus1167 @ 4:19 pm

anyone else agree with me that Freedom is one of Neil's very best albums ever?

mozilla21 @ 5:07 pm

A lot of you obviously haven't listened to the lyrics, so you should take the time to read them. Understanding of the meaning would eliminate most of the comments, and may even provoke a thought or two.

"I do not think it means what you think it means."

EddieMetalhead1995 @ 5:15 pm

I´m The 70000 Viewer!!! :D

fordsucks27 @ 5:21 pm

@ginnoveffect You just posted a comment about people making comments about Beiber……. HAHAHAHA!!!!!

Tool.

arceveink @ 5:34 pm

fucking POWERFULL song!!

Jtangel27 @ 6:02 pm

One person sadly never went to school. They never will get to fall in love. And they'll never be cool.

bobeooo @ 6:53 pm

Amazing and the quality is just as aFuckingMazing as the song

BrokenSolitary @ 7:12 pm

@dreamsandnightmarez Best comment I've ever read about him.

NicoleOReillyX @ 7:59 pm

Please can we stop talkin abou Justin fucking Bieber !?!, To actually speak of him here is disrespectful to Neil !
