Most of the people in the world are affected by acid reflux. It is felt by the people as heart burn, but it is not related to heart, it is related to digestive system. The person suffering from acid reflux can have symptoms of pain, burnings; discomfort due to rising up of partially digested food and gastric acid in the esophagus. Before this symptom arises, the person can feel difficulty in swallowing, chronic diseases, sore throat, dry cough, bitter taste after eating. If this is treated with care, it may leads to esophagus cancer due to gastric acid misplacement. There are simple preventive measures to avoid acid reflux. Your body posture should be upright for one to two hours after eating. Once your foods are digested and pass it to the intestine, then you can lie down or you can change your posture. Do not do any exercises which strain stomach. After eating, the food is ready for digesting in the stomach. It may get disturbed. It may mix with gastric acid and move esophagus to create acidity. Eat as fiber foods as possible. Do not eat oils, fats, creamed soups and foods, orange and grape juices. Those who have already acid reflux problem do not use alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee. Though we have many treatments to cure acid reflux, we have to take little care in our food habit. A good food habit avoids acid reflux.
